PT. Agility International is a company that works to move, manage and distribute goods that support global trade. This company was founded in the mid 1800's. PT. Agility International is currently one of the largest integrated logistics providers in the world and the largest private owner and developer of the real estate industry in the Middle East and North Africa. And now PT. Agility International has more than 50,000 employees and 500 offices in 100 countries, including Indonesia. On Wednesday, November 21, 2018 I as a logistics student of the Trisakti Logistics Transportation Institute with my classmate S1 MLM B'17, visited PT Agility International in Pondok Ungu, bekasi. When I arrived at the place, my class immediately rushed into PT Agility International, which was in Pondok Ungu, bekasi. in an orderly and polite manner we also according to the ranks entered the company one by one and we were given an explanation of the structure of the condition of the company here starting from the conditions, work safety and the history of the company was built. And in the agility company in Bekasi, as a center (incoming goods from abroad into the country) from various branches in Indonesia. After that, we were divided into several groups to see the warehouse section, and we were guided by several warehouse supervisors. In the warehouse of PT. Agility International is precisely dibekasi containing temporary storage warehouses, namely shoes (Nike, adidas, etc.), herbal life products (in this product PT. Agility International stores in cold warehouses), and other products available on e-commerce (such as lazada , Tokopedia, etc.). Because of the limited time we did not go down the barn to the inside. In this warehousing activity we received many lessons that we did not know before and in this scientific visit we were very fortunate. In Warehousing there is a unity of components in the Supply Chain Product and parts of the warehouse. And warehouses are places that are burdened with the task of storing goods to be used in production, until the goods are requested according to the production schedule. This storage function is often called inventory space, raw material warehouse, or local special name, depending on the type of goods stored. The following is the process activity in the PT Agility Pondok ungu warehouse, bekasi:
a. In-bound task
The first activity carried out in the warehouse is receiving, which is the activity in which the goods have been delivered by customers until they are operational, and will be checked for goods, so that the goods will be scanned to enter the warehouse. This happens by scanning goods through their pallet ID.
The next activity is the value add, which is done when the item has been received in the warehouse. This thing is done by entering data of items received into the existing system.
The next activity is put away, which is when all the items that have been received will be placed in several different locations. There are two ways that can be done in this case, namely scanned directly or manually. The system will store location data based on the area where the item was received. This is done by the operational department.
The next thing that is done in in-bound is inventory management. This is done when the items in the warehouse will be controlled by the admin and manager. This will be done based on unit ID. All transactions in the warehouse will be stored in real time.
b. Out-bound task
The activity carried out on the out-bound task starts with the pick. This is done based on the location of the pallet and the location details of the warehouse clerk who was ordered to take it from the warehouse. Items taken will be scanned based on drop IDs (pallets or carton ID).
Then the items that have been taken will be put together in a box or place that is labeled, and called a pack. This is done by the gudan section, and quality check will be done at this stage of the pack by the warehouse manager. At this stage, all items will be scanned through drop Id to see whether the item is stored properly or not.
The most important thing is to add value to the packing location. This activity can be done by the admin or manager based on the goods.
After adding the value, the activity carried out is load management. The order that has been issued for the same truck will be given an Id load. Load Id This will be given a path through one particular door. When the truck exits the warehouse, the warehouse operator will scan the Id load and scan also the Id pallet that passes through the door. The system will give an error message if there is an item coming out not through the actual door that has been assigned to the ID pallet.
The last thing that was done in the warehouse was shipped out. In this case the document making process and delivery scheduling are carried out. And inventory updates and delivery processes are also carried out.
PT. Trakindo Utama
This company was founded on December 23, 1970, which founded this company is AHK Hamami. This company is one of the companies for heavy equipment products that have competed at the global level. On the same day / date, Wednesday, November 21, 2018, we ended up at the main PT. Trakindo warehouse located in cakung. This company cooperates with PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Logistics Group) to entrust heavy equipment, spare parts and construction. When we arrived there, we usually entered the warehouse area of the company regularly and politely. However, before we went to the warehouse we were told by the local employee to head to the main office to be given a little explanation about the conditions in the company. And finally we were invited to a meeting room at the PT. Trakindo is on the cakung-cilincing. After we were given a little explanation about the condition of the company, we were immediately invited to go directly to the field (warehouse). Warehouse in PT. Trakindo cakung has 2 warehouses, there are open and closed warehouses. Opened warehouse containing heavy equipment, for example cranes, dozers, tools for transporting gold in port, large and small trucks, etc. While the warehouse is covered with spare parts, generator sets and forklifts.
